A personal best of 190kg at the Asian Open wasn’t enough for British power lifting athlete, Micky Yule as has set yet another personal best of 193 kg to win Gold at the IPC Power Lifting European Championships in Hungary.

The Scot put in an inspired performance on the third day of the competition to see off the challenge posed by two powerful Russian athletes in the 80kg weight division, producing 3 successful lifts and a 193kg PB on his third and final lift.

This Gold medal means that Yule is now 6th in the IPC world rankings table going into a paralympic year in 2016.
